Academic packaging concept

Glossier

An unboxing with a second life.

A skincare packaging concept designed to become a drawer organiser once the products are unpacked.

Glossier — project overview
The brief

Make reuse part of the structure.

The project began with a simple question: what could skincare packaging become after the first use? An early vanity idea was refined after feedback on material complexity. The final direction focuses on a simpler second use: organising everyday essentials.

Design decisions

The thinking behind the outcome.

01

Give the box a second use

The packaging concept becomes a drawer organiser after the skincare products are unpacked.

02

Simplify the structure

The early mirror and textile ideas were removed after feedback on material complexity.

03

Carry the identity inside

The blush-pink interior and divider system make the second use part of the original concept.

The outcome

From skincare set to everyday storage.

A blush-pink interior and removable dividers carry Glossier’s soft visual identity into the structure. The work brings together packaging graphics, dieline preparation and mockups to explain how the box can continue to be useful after unboxing.
